| Help with multi-layered maps | 12 years 6 months ago |
Dear friends, I am looking to make a very simple multi-layered map, but ran into some problems, as I am a beginner with this tool. I have only one standard map, but want to look at several multi-dimensional variables. Ideally, I want the very basic map, but with the buttons on top like here: http://www.statsilk.com/files/demo/multiple-map-layers/ I do not need different maps, just different variables over the same map. I have taken a look at the examples, but most concentrate on creating and merging... |
| Show subcategories in two columns. | 12 years 7 months ago |
Dear Frank, I'm dealing with a lot of subcategories and the ones at the end of the list are not visible, they go down way beyond the size of the interface. Is there any possibility that the program shows them in two columns of something like that? Regards. |
| Purchasing license for web version of StatPlanet | 12 years 7 months ago |
I downloaded StatPlanet app and added my own data to it. Now I would like to publish it on website. Now, when I am on "Purchase tab" shall I choose only the version (web version) field? I do not need StatPlanet Plus with world or USA map. Or this is a whole package - StatPlanet Plus and web license? |
| Exporting maps | 12 years 7 months ago |
Hi, I believe the ability to export maps in larger, better quality is only available with the web version of StatPlanet Plus? I only have the desktop version (as we are a non-commercial charity). Given the expense of the program, I'd like to clarify a few things. What size and quality can the map be exported to with StatPlanet Plus? I need to generate an image for an academic poster, which is around 72 inches wide. Obviously this translates as a very large image! Would StatPlanet Plus be able to generate images of this size? Thanks, Matt |

| Avoid regions with no data (or when value = 0) from being graphed?! | 12 years 7 months ago |
Dear all, is there a way in Stat Plant Plus to avoid the map regions with NO DATA or when the value is equal to zero, from being graphed? The thing is that I have maps of municipalities (a bunch of them) and in their background there is a map of the state to where the municipality belongs. I merged them using QGIS 1.8.0. The issue is that I want the state to be displayed on the background but not being graphed (because I dont have information to put there) because in the graph each state appears as zero and is very misleading, it also looks funny. Please let me know. |
| Historical maps | 12 years 7 months ago |
Dear ladies and gentlemen, on our server is running a licensed version of StatPlanet. We would like to create a historical map containing historical data. For visualizing the data, do we need ISO codes for the historical regions? Are there any? Best regards, A. Weber |

| Adding a 'No data' label to legend? | 12 years 8 months ago |
Hi, If you have a map with, say, two categories: Yes & No, on the legend you have categories for Yes & No, but that is it. Grey colour applies to 'no data', but there is no legend for it. How would I get 'no data' to show up on the legend when there is no data inputted? Matt |
| When will the iPad app be ready? | 12 years 8 months ago |
At my work we're evaluating options for dissemination of visualisation of data including regional data, and StatPlanet is one of the options - but only if the iPad app is available. In the FAQ it says it has been developed but isn't yet available - is there a timeframe for its release? |
