| Shapefile Data Disconnect | 12 years 4 days ago |
Using our the ESRI shapefile version of StatPlanet, we uploaded shapefiles for U.S. Congressional districts. We also compressed them with MapShaper to make them load quicker. The problem is that at times the data seem to not be connecting to the shapefile and we end up with a map that is completely grey with one singular data point as a giant dot off to the upper left. The problem is intermittent and appears on Firefox, Chrome and IE browsers. The URL is here: http://www.civicyouth.org/maps/CD-2014/ I feel like... |

| Time Slider Pointer | 12 years 2 weeks ago |
I am currently using StatPlanet for an assignment and have encountered a small issue with its time slider feature. The pointer on the time slider fails to reset to the latest year of the currently selected indicator and remains stuck at the latest year of the previous indicator. For example, say there are 2 indicators spread across different time spreads - indicator A till 2012 and indicator B till 2014. On selecting A, the time slider pointer correctly points the latest year 2012. However, on further selecting B, the pointer fails to point to the latest year - 2014 in this case and... |

| Embedding StatPlanet in a Powerpoint Presentation | 12 years 3 weeks ago |
Hi Frank, I would like for the map to be embedded in a Powerpoint slide to be played during a presentation. I know there are several ways to create a link on a website like a Google site and then simply share the link or paste it into the slide. However, since the data is proprietary, it cannot be on any kind of public site or location. Is it possible to do this? If it has to be published online, is it still possible to embed the map into the slide rather than having to interrupt the presentation to click on the link and open it up in a web browser? Thank you for your help! ... |
| PHP and FastCGI settings | 12 years 3 weeks ago |
Hi, We're having some difficulty getting the export scripts to operate. Our (external) server host is running a Windows server (IIS6 or 7), PHP 5.2.17 and FastCGI (recently) enabled. They also have Pegboard CMS, which requires reconfiguration to enable the POST statements in the export scripts to work. The CMS provider has asked what the appropriate PHP and FastCGI settings are. Has anyone here configured their IIS server's PHP and FastCGI settings? And if so, what environments and variables were configured to get StatPlanet to be able to export? Thanks... |
