I notice that neither StatPlanet World Bank or Stat WOrld are available on the site for download (the links provided go to another site). Is there an alertate way to download this version of the software, or am I not looking in the correct place on the site?

Thank you for noting this, indeed it was a broken link which was fixed. It can be downloaded here: http://www.statsilk.com/files/software/StatWorld.zip
For StatPlanet World Bank there is no offline-only version, as data needs to be streamed live from the World Bank website.
