Hi!
I'm new to statplanet and want to use some custom shapefiles to make maps. The userguide refers to a Setup shapefile button which can be found in the Statplanet_data_editor file... however, no matter how much I look for it, I can't seem to find it. Makros are enabled, but apart from clear data, import data, save data and settings there are no other buttons..
Sorry for the silly question, but where can I find that button?

Setup shapefile button?
Hi,
In the User Guide it states that you need to open the StatPlanet Data Editor "In the folder “Shapefile_map_(ESRI)" - did you try that? This folder is only available in the StatPlanet Plus and StatPlanet Lite versions. I hope that helps,
Frank
yes, i opened the statplanet data editor file in the shapefile_map_(ESRI) folder using Statplanet Plus. but after opening the data editor i still can't find the "shapefile setup" button.
Strange that the button is not visible, it is a very large button to the left of the Clear data, Import data and Save data buttons (sheet 'Import'). I could suggest downloading StatPlanet Plus again: http://www.statsilk.com/files/software/StatPlanet_Plus.zip
You could also find the macro for setting up the shapefile in the Excel macro list. Depending on your version of Excel, you can normally find it in the 'Developer' tab, button/icon 'Macros', and select the macro 'Setup'. If you do not have a 'Developer' tab, you can reveal is by clicking on the Microsoft icon (top left corner), selecting 'Excel options', 'Popular' and then checking 'Show developer tab in the Ribbon'.
i followed your advice and used the setup makro and it worked.
thank you very much for your help!
You're welcome, glad to hear its resolved!
