Free tool - create interactive thematic maps (world)
To create a thematic world map, copy & paste your data in the box above the table (CTRL+V, or right-click -> PASTE). Data needs to be structured with country names in the first column, and data in the second column. Data can be copied from a web-page (e.g. Wikipedia) or a PDF file. To export the map as an image, click the 'export icon' in the bottom-left corner. Please note: This is an experimental tool and results may vary - it works best with Internet Explorer or Firefox.
Importing data files: To import your data from an Excel-compatible file, you can use StatPlanet or - for more advanced features, including other maps (such as at country level) - see StatPlanet Plus. StatPlanet can also be used to publish your maps online.
Please note that this is an experimental tool which is still under development.
Multiple columns of data can be imported, but results vary. Copying and pasting multiple columns using the Chrome browser may not work. Table headers (indicator names) are not always correctly linked to the data column.
