Is there any way to present two charts or more together? I mean all charts of one category? How can I present the units on char

Dear colleagues,

Actually I have several questions, appreciate if you can help:

  1. Is there any way to present two charts or more together? I mean all charts of one category?
  2. How can I present the units on charts?
  3. When I used percentage the program removes the “%” sign, any way to keep it?
  4. If the region is “Syria”, is there any approach to present the chart immediately without press on the word of “Syria”?
  5. How can I present it on mobile phone?

Dear Malek,

Please find my responses below:

1. Is there any way to present two charts or more together? I mean all charts of one category?

Currently this is not supported within a single data visualization / dashboard. However, in the web version you could have two of the dashboards next to each other. This is possible both with the old 'Flash-based' version and in the new StatPlanet Cloud. It is easier to do using StatPlanet Cloud, because it is modular, and you can set it to display only the charts panel for example and resize it to any dimension.

2. How can I present the units on charts?

This requires a settings change in the Data Editor sheet 'settings'. Variable 'V-AXISL' (under graph options) needs to be set to TRUE. Any units inserted in the UNIT column will then display in the charts.

3. When I used percentage the program removes the “%” sign, any way to keep it?

The percentages in Excel disappear when exported to a data file. A way around this is explained here: https://www.statsilk.com/support/forum/percentages-get-imported-text

4. If the region is “Syria”, is there any approach to present the chart immediately without press on the word of “Syria”?

Yes you can pre-select any map area through the 'settings' sheet variable 'REGION-S'. Just add 'Syria'. For map regions, you would need to add the map ID (not name) in the map.dbf file, so for example 'Syria 4' to display both Syria and As Suwayda' (which has map ID 4).

5. How can I present it on mobile phone?

StatPlanet Cloud runs on mobile phones. The maps and graphs automatically scale to fit the screen. For a demo, please see: www.statsilk.com/world-stats. It requires an annual subscription, which is discounted if for non-commercial use (www.statsilk.com/software/statplanet-cloud).

I hope this helps and happy to answer any other questions,

Frank
