Hello Sir,
We are using Statplanet for exploring our Educational data in a graphical way.
I have created a sub category.Dropdown work good in the map.
For eg :TIMSS >Grade 4
>> Overall
The above feature works good.
Now I want to have
TIMSS >Grade 4
>>Overall
>>>Group by Country
Please let me know if this is possible or How to achieve this ??
Thanks,
Devi
Hi Devi,
Yes you can have as many sub-sub-sub categories as you need, exactly as you describe (>>>).
So as follows:
Category
>Sub-category
>>Sub-Sub-category
>> Sub-Sub-Sub-category | YEAR |
| | INDICATOR NAME
If you run into issues with the above please let me know.
Please note that this is currently only supported by StatPlanet and StatPlanet Cloud (not yet by StatTrends).
Best,
Frank
Actually we are using free version of statplanet. But sub sub category is not working , I tried >>> like this.
Can you please give me a example excel file using statplanet editor.
Thanks a lot for your support,
Devi
Hi Devi,
Sorry but only the licensed version of StatPlanet supports this, or otherwise it should also be possible with the free desktop version, if you download the latest version from the website (free for non-commercial use). If you are using an older desktop version, you would just need to copy the file 'StatPlanet.exe' from the new version, and copy it to your folder, replacing the existing file.
But even without >>> it is still possible to create very extensive category structures, with hundreds of categories - for an example please see: http://www.statsilk.com/maps/statplanet-world-bank-app-open-data/?y=1990...
Best, Frank
