WIll StatPlanet Plus web version work on Windows 2003 Server

Hi,
Will StatPlanet Plus with shapefile capabilties web version work on a Windows 2003 Server. I created my web map using StatPlanet Plus on my windows desktop computer. When I copies the StatPlanet web folder + data to my LINUX server with PHP, the web map works. When I copy the StatPlanet web folder to my Windows 2003 IIS6 with Apache server, the web map will not even show up. What am I doing wrong, or do I need to download a different version of StatPlanet that has shapefile capabilities and will work with a Windows Server?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Nat

Hi Nat,
There is no reason why it shouldn't work with Windows 2003 IIS6. Perhaps it is a file permissions issue? Did you check the map URL (e.g. mywebsite.com/statplanet/map/map.dbf) if it opens? If you are able to provide a link to the non-functioning StatPlanet page that would help in identifying the issue.
Best,
Frank

Hi Frank,
I took the default data and web map that comes with StatPlanet Plus and copied it to the Windows 2003 Server. Here is the URL for the StatPlanet.html: The map does not load

Here is the URL for the map.dbf: The error is "The page cannot be found"
/map/map.dbf
How do I fix this please?
Thanks,
Nat

Hi Frank,
The URL for the web map should be:
http://pub-arcgis.mtroyal.ca/statplanet/Shapefilemap/web/StatPlanet.html
For the map.dbf, the URl should be:
http://pub-arcgis.mtroyal.ca/statplanet/Shapefilemap/map/map.dbf
Same results as in the previous post. How can I fix this please?
Thanks,
Nat

Hi Nat,

The location should be http://pub-arcgis.mtroyal.ca/statplanet/Shapefilemap/web/map/map.dbf (so not the one you listed). Either the file is not there or file permission is set to 'no access'.

I hope that helps.

Best,

Frank

Hi Frank,
The file is definitely there. What do you mean when you say the file permission is set to "no access"? Is this a permission on the folder or on the file? How do I change the file permission on the Windows 2003 Server, please? Do I change the folder to read and write? Is there some other permissions on the folder that I have not set up properly, yet?
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Nat

Hi Nat,
I am not familiar with changing file permissions in Windows 2003. If you have access via FTP, you can right click on the file and set permissions there. Otherwise I would recommend contacting the system administrator. You should probably also set permissions for the folder 'map'.
As long as the link http://pub-arcgis.mtroyal.ca/statplanet/Shapefilemap/web/map/map.dbf does not work, StatPlanet will also not be able to read it.
Best,
Frank
