Hi,
Thank you very much for your replies to my previews topics.
I built an excel import file based on the example provided (data_example_for_import_worlmap), but I can't managed to input categories so that they get imported correctly in StartPlanet_data_editor.
Could you provide a more detailed example to better understand how the excel macro for imports works ? At least for the main items mentioned in file "StartPlanet_data_editor", sheet "import", line 2, columns A to K.
By the way, the macro always puts the name of my indicator twice when importing the data, meaning if my indicator is "X" it will be imported as "X X". I can't managed to fix this.

Baptiste

How to include category in an excel import file
Hi Baptiste,
Currently you cannot import multiple categories in one go (only multiple indicators and multiple years - either or both). So you would need to import them one category at the time, e.g. by dividing them into seperate Excel sheets and importing these one by one. I suspect the repetition of the indicator name is related to trying to import categories, so if you remove that category column it might resolve the issue.
For more details regarding importing, please see http://www.statsilk.com/files/resources/Quick_Start.pdf
And the following example structured for importing multiple indicators and years in one go: http://www.statsilk.com/files/resources/data_example_for_import_worldmap...
