How many categories can I have, and how can I color the categories so the best is green and worst is red?
Hello, I'm a new user and I'm happy with the way the product looks. I'm trying to map the following categories by country:
Total AR
Current
1-30 days
31-90 days
91-180 days
181-360 days
Over 360 days
Total Overdue

The values will be in dollars, per country. I would like all 8 categories to appear on the legend, but only 5 appear. I would also like to color them each with a different color; is this possible?

Thanks for the help.

Hi Jim,

It is possible to have up to 9 map legend categories in StatPlanet, or 15 in StatPlanet Plus. To create a map legend with custom text, please see the map legend type "(iv) Map legend with custom colors and labels" as explained here in the user guide: http://www.statsilk.com/files/resources/User_Guide_StatPlanet.htm#_Toc39...

To get the color values you want, the easiest approach would be to first create the required map legend within StatPlanet (as explained in the above section of the user guide - you can set the number of categories and the colors after clicking on any color in the map legend - green-red can be found in the 'diverging' panel in the map legend popup). After copying and pasting the map legend code in the StatPlanet Data Editor, you could just add the legend category labels you require as explained in the link above.

I hope that helps.

Best,

Frank

Hi Frank, thank you, that was very helpful. I made the changes and it was working yesterday. However, today I have a problem saving the file into the data editor.

I receive 2 error messages, which prompt the debugger. First is a "Sheets("Meta data").Select" error, and second is "ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs Filename:=newFilename3, FileFormat:=xlCSV"

Can you help me fix these please?

Hi Jim,

The second error means it cannot find the 'web' folder. Did you by any chance move the StatPlanet Data Editor to another folder, or remove the web directory? Regarding the first error, this sheet appears to be missing. Just creating a sheet with that name should resolve it. However, it is unusual that you get that error. If you would like to send the StatPlanet Data Editor to have it looked at, that can be done.

Best,

Frank

Hi Frank

I uninstalled and reinstalled, and unfortunately it didn't help the problem. On the sheet name; I'm actually not using a sheet named "meta data" and never have used a sheet with that name, so I don't know how this error has arise. I'd be happy to send you the files I use; how can I email them to you?

Thanks again for your help with this.

Jim
